Being a trainer in the Vocational Education and Training sector allows you to pass on your skills to students who are passionate about horticulture. This is a great way to “give back” to the industry. We are always interested in hiring qualified experienced people who specialise in one or more of the following areas: Horticulture, botany, plant pests and disease management, production horticulture, nursery production and plant propagation, plant identification, soil science, landscaping and garden design, turf, horticulture machinery, growing media and plant nutrition.
Although teaching qualifications are not essential, they are very desirable. Trainers in the VET industry require a current Certificate IV in Training (TAE40110). Where you do not hold this qualification, we will provide assessment and up-skilling opportunities to suitable candidates.
