These are Nationally Recognised units of competence and support the Australian Aged Care Leadership Capability Framework, a framework for all leaders in Aged Care. These units also form part of the Diploma of Leadership and Management Qualification (BSB51915).

- Release from work to attend workshops. Students MUST attend workshops
- Opportunities to participate in leadership and organisational activities that support the objectives of the program.
- Time to complete assessments. Organisations are STRONGLY encouraged to support staff to complete assessments during work hours as the assessment are highly relevant to the work roles.

About this workshop. This workshop will focus on the development and use of emotional intelligence to increase your self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management in the context of the workplace. The workshop will support you to develop skills including the ability to identify the impact of your own emotions on others in the workplace, recognising and appreciating the emotional strengths and weaknesses of others and promoting the development of the emotional intelligence in others and utilising your own emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes.

About this workshop. This workshop will explore your role in establishing, supporting and managing positive workplace relationships with co-workers and teams. The workshop will focus on developing systems and processes to manage ideas and information sharing and how effective communication and feedback play a vital role in effective workplace relationships. It will also explore resolving difficulties and conflicts and how providing strong and effective leadership can help managers provide guidance and support to teams and co-workers in their workplace.

About this workshop. This workshop will focus on developing your skills to make presentations to customers, clients and others as well as negotiate persuasively. The workshop will discuss topics around communicating clearly, using a variety of communication styles and anticipating reactions and counter-arguments from others. We will also look at developing leadership skills to manage and lead teams and meetings more effectively.

About this workshop. This workshop discusses the skills and knowledge needed in the planning, recruitment and support for people in a range of work arrangements, including full and part time employees, casual labour, contractors, fixed term, virtual teams, distributed teams, offsite/home workers and volunteers. The workshop will also focus on developing communication and consultation strategies to maximise resource flexibility whilst retaining organisational structure.

About this workshop. This workshop will explore how you might implement digital solutions into your organisation (without blowing it up!). We will focus on how you can identify and evaluate technology opportunities and access technological expertise. We also take a close look at change management and how new technologies are likely to impact on you as an individual, on the team and on the organisation as a whole. The workshop will also discuss developing and implementing policies and procedures surrounding the implementation of new technologies.
