The NILS Financial Literacy Champions Course
NILS has developed this course in conjunction with GlobalNet Academy (RTO 60058) to provide some of our NILS Loans Officers with advanced training to help in their work with clients. The course aims to increase your understanding of financial literacy issues as well as giving you skills to provide effective financial literacy support to people with complex needs from a diversity of backgrounds. The course is being delivered via a two day workshop on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday the 6th of November, 2019 at the Neighbourhood House Offices, Derwent Park.
Participants will be provided with the opportunity to build upon their existing knowledge and skills as NILS Loans Officers and explore ways to improve upon their professional practice, particularly around dealing with complex client needs, clients from a diverse background and managing conflict.
They will also have the opportunity to gain three nationally recognised units of competency that can be used towards a formal qualification in leadership and management:
- BSBLDR401 Communicate effectively as a workplace leader
- BSBCUS402 Address customer needs
- BSBLDR404 Lead a diverse workforce
Participants who complete the course will be issued with a statement of attainment once all course requirements have been met. The course is facilitated by Kirsten Singleton, one of GlobalNet Academy’s (a Tasmanian owned and operated registered training organisation) Leadership and Management trainers and assessors.
This program is funded by Skills Tasmania and the NILS Network of Tasmania.
Only NILS loan officers who have been sent an invitation to enrol may enrol in this course. If you would like further information about the course or have any questions please contact John or Melissa at the NILS Network.
