Tomato plants growing Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and GlobalNet Academy

RTBG Tomato Time! – Can you help?

It’s time to get your hands dirty and help the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens pot up thousands of tomatoes.

Some of our current and past Tasmanian Horticulture students have lent a hand in the nursery at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart to help get tomato seedlings potted up for the annual plant sale.  Our Horticulture Certificate 2 students are all trained in potting up seedlings as part of their course work.   You can help too!

Contact the Gardens Heirloom Tomatoes Facebook page if you would like to help: https://www.facebook.com/RtbgHeirloomTomatoes

“Many hands make light work. RTBG Nursery Tuesdays and Thursday 10.00 to noon if you would like to volunteer.  The Spring plant sale will be on Saturday the 20th of September.

Also this year we will be supplying some tomatoes plants to the Circular Head Garden Club’s Garden Spectacular in Stanley at Highfield Estate on October 25th, 2014.”
